Motel Life Book Cover
The Motel Life tells the story of two brothers from Reno, Nevada whose lives are thrown into turmoil following a tragic accident. Confronted with this accident, the two must leave town and live out of cheap motel rooms where they both must face problems of their own. I chose to illustrate two of these onto the background of a ripped and burnt Reno road map. I used scanned images of ripped and burnt, tea-dyed paper for the background texture and then overlaid a map of Reno on top of that in Photoshop to create the illusion of an old, tattered map.
